1. Overview

JPFLD respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. Users may upload photos, documents, and other content to the Service (see our Terms of Service, Section 8). This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright, in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

2. Filing a Takedown Notice

If you believe content hosted on JPFLD infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated contact (Section 5) that includes:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (e.g. a link or description of where it appears in the Service)
  • Your contact information: address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

3. Our Response

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified content and make a reasonable effort to notify the user who uploaded it. Repeat infringers may have their account suspended or terminated.

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe content you uploaded was removed or disabled in error, you may submit a counter-notification to our designated contact that includes your signature, identification of the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your name, address, and telephone number. We may reinstate the material after a reasonable waiting period unless the original complainant files a court action.
