What to put on a contractor invoice
A good invoice answers every question before the customer has to ask: who it's from, who it's for, what was done, how much, and when it's due. Include an invoice number so you can both refer to it later, the job address, and itemized lines for labor and materials.
Payment terms that get you paid faster
"Due on receipt" works well for small service calls. For larger jobs, Net 15 or Net 30 is common - but the shorter the terms, the faster the money arrives. Whatever you choose, put it on the invoice in plain words.
Make it easy to pay
